Our Trip To Morrill Hall

A few months ago I picked up a Lincoln Passport at Pioneers Park. In it are some great places to go all over town, most of them free or very cheap. A fun adventure for (what I thought) was going to be our last summer here. Although we may or may not be leaving by June next year, we have had some fun at our local museums--most of which Lukka has never been to. Last week's trip was Morrill Hall. For $45/year, you can get a family pass, and if you have children it is worth it! What a great museum. I hadn't been there in years and it has been totally renovated to be kid-friendly, they can touch a lot of the exhibits, look in microscopes, and even walk on dinosaurs (see first picture)! Almost every animal on display (whether actual bones or recreated) were found in Nebraska!~

Here is the goof playing hide and seek through a "fallen log" they have in the children's area--too bad we got there right as the museum was closing; just another excuse to go back!

Morrill Hall holds a special place in my heart, because that is where Chris and I met, and where he proposed. It really is a neat museum! Looks like Lukka enjoyed the dinos! :) I will definitely check out Gluten Free Girl, so thanks for suggesting it! Are you back on the GF diet now? I know you said for a while, you weren't needing to be on it....when are you due? I hope we can get together when we come back over Thanksgiving, because i'd love to meet lukka! Hope all is well! China was amazing..P.S. the long green dress is the one I made....since i never officially posted the pictures on my blog. :(

that is so scary! I will be praying for you. I couldn't imagine not being on the GF diet, now that I am feeling better. I am having some thyroid issues now, so hopefully it's nothing more than hypothyroidism (which is what the doctor thinks it is) which is fixable by a pill, and if so, we may start trying to conceive within the next few months :) Anyway, I will definitely check out the book and hope you're doing well and resting!

We've Gone and Done It

We are in the midst of packing up, and moving. Not just any move, but The Move we've been trying to accomplish for years now. We're heading up to (Washington) Canada. In the last couple of months Stefan had been talking to a potential employer up in Richmond, British Columbia , and after a very swift interview process they offered him the job. Small and large details aside, he accepted and plans to start on February 25th. We leave one week earlier, on the 18th. That's literally just over 2 weeks from when you will read this. We told family and close friends first, and while we haven't been keeping it a huge secret, our church, as a whole, did not know until last night because it was then we could tell everyone at our seasonal congregational meeting what our plans were in person, and with many of them all at once.
