Mama's Herbal Soaps

For whatever reason, I have a certain knack for winning online giveaways. I have won probably 10 in the past year of being a blogger, and these last two months were no exception! I am still waiting on one from Canada, but I have receieved the first of three I won recently: Soaps, Lip-balm and a cute tote bag from Mama's Herbal Soaps.(photo from the website)

These soaps smell so delicious now that Ihave them in my hands, and I can't wait to use them!


From the website, "Oils of olive & hemp seed (infused with organic calendula flowers and organic comfrey root), coconut, and raw virgin palm. Fairly traded unrefined African karite (shea) butter. Spring water (rain water when possible). Some soaps contain organic goat's milk, raw local honey or beeswax, organic oats, and/or organic botanicals."

The 5 soaps Mama's Herbal Soaps sent me were ones I was able to choose:

  • Cocoa Bliss (yes, it really smells like chocolate!)
  • Rosemary Mint (made with sea kelp)
  • Sacred Ground (coffee, oatmeal, vanilla, & sandalwood ::swoon::)
  • Salt of the Earth (made from Dead Sea mud and salt!)
  • Hempy Happy Camper (caught me by suprise that this is to keep bugs at bay)

Super lovely soaps! I have the opposite knack- I lose them. Every single time! But instead of getting upset about it I decided that was a reason for me to start having giveaway's myself. So far...it's looking good!

Sure, I remember long summer hours (days? it seemed like it..) spent around a Monopoly board, but I was never one to suggest to get out the cards, or a game. Home School Resources: Links we Love

It's a list of where I find games, books, crafts, and fresh inspiration. Also included are articles I've loved about home schooling. One of my favorite websites about homeschooling, updated daily, is Simple Homeschool . It's a shoot off branch of SimpleKids & SimpleMoms, and they often have great giveaways, advice, and have concise and interesting topics. A friend recently guided me to World Book Online to find the general requirements of each grade. At the curriculum fair I went to in April, I remembered two vendors that I want to revisit if they return. 17! You're FINALLY 17! You can drive independently, and you have read the manual, watched professional drivers and gleaned tips from others about this test that you've been dreaming about for years. You were given a car by a friend of ours, cleaned it to perfection, fixed it up in places, and have driven your sister and friends all over for the past week in near-unbridled joy.
